Narrated Ibn Abbas (R.A): The Prophet (S.A.W) said, "No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijja)." Then some companions of the Prophet (S.A.W) said, "Not even Jihad?" He replied, "Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allah's sake) and does not return with any of those things".
Narrated Abdullah bin Amr (R.A): A man asked the Prophet (S.A.W), "What sort of deeds or (what qualities of) Islam are good?" The Prophet (S.A.W) replied, "To feed (the poor) and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not know".
Narrated Abu Said Al Khudri (R.A): Allah's Messenger (S.A.W) said, "If a person embraces Islam sincerely, then Allah shall forgive all his past sins, and after that starts the settlement of accounts, the reward of his good deeds will be ten times to seven hundred times for each good deed and one evil deed will be recorded as it is unless Allah forgives it".
